No special mountain is equipment. Every hundred meters or so, signs point you in the right direction and give basic information about the area. You will pass tiny mountain villages with friendly, semi-nomadic people. This year, take the path from Fethiye to Kas and pass Faralya Village and the ancient cities of Pmara, Letoon and Xanthos on your way.
